The Dance of the Tutu

What if your garment piece dances on its own?  What experience will this evoke?

The Dancing Dress by Ninna Thorarinsdottir addresses the two questions in a rather peculiar way.   The movement generated of the piece juxtapose the graceful facade associated with a tutu, creating an interesting space for viewers and the wearer for the interplay duration of electronic servos, buttons, and the wearer’s inner intentions.  The piece captures a warped beauty, a different take on the traditional norm!
